Private Label Sock Packaging Checklist

A practical checklist for belly bands, hang tags, gift boxes, polybags, carton marks, and barcode placement.

Private Label Sock Packaging Checklist

Choose packaging by sales channel

Retail shelves often need hang tags, belly bands, or gift boxes. Ecommerce orders usually need cleaner polybag protection, barcode labels, and carton-level identification. The right packaging depends on how the socks will be stored, scanned, shipped, and displayed.

  • Retail shelf: hang tag, belly band, header card, or printed gift box
  • Ecommerce: polybag, barcode label, carton mark, and simple pack instruction
  • Subscription box: folded presentation, insert card, and consistent set grouping

Prepare production-ready files

For faster sampling, provide logo files, Pantone references, barcode requirements, label dimensions, and carton marks. Clear packaging files reduce back-and-forth before the first sample.

  • Logo artwork in AI, PDF, SVG, or high-resolution PNG
  • Pantone or physical color reference for yarn and packaging
  • Barcode, warning labels, fiber content, size, and country-of-origin text

Check the full packed unit

A sock can pass visual review but still fail the packed-unit review. Always check folded size, label placement, barcode scanability, carton count, and whether the final presentation matches your brand expectations.
